The Faculty of Law, Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, is pleased to announce its 6th Public Lecture, scheduled to hold on Monday, 1st June 2026 at the Prof. Abubakar Adamu Rasheed Auditorium by 10:00 AM.
The lecture is themed:
“The Nigerian Tax Acts 2025 and the Renewed Fiscal Social Contract: Implications for Governance, Public Trust and Sustainable Development”
This edition of the annual public lecture will examine the implications of Nigeria’s evolving tax legislation on governance structures, citizens’ trust, fiscal accountability, and sustainable development.
The event will feature Mr. Daniel Onukun, Board Secretary, Nigeria Revenue Service, as Guest Speaker. Participants will gain valuable insights into the intersection of taxation, governance, and socio-economic development in Nigeria.
The programme will be hosted by the Dean, Faculty of Law, Prof. Olaposi Olaseeni, under the leadership of the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oyesoji Aremu.
The University community, legal practitioners, policymakers, students, scholars, and members of the public are cordially invited to attend this intellectually engaging event.
