We are delighted to announce that Omowunmi Funke Adedugbe, a distinguished scholar from the Department of Chemical Sciences at Achievers University Owo, has successfully defended her PhD in Protein Chemistry and Enzymology. The defense took place at the School of Postgraduate Studies, Achievers University.
Her research, which has garnered recognition through publications in Scopus-indexed journals, was supervised by Dr. O.S. Ilesanmi, with co-supervision from Prof. A.O. Kolawole. Prof. Augustine O. Olusola from the Biochemistry Department of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba, served as her external examiner.
Dr. Adedugbe’s achievement marks a historic milestone, as it is the first PhD defense in the Department of Chemical Sciences, the first in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, and the second PhD defense at Achievers University.
