The Founder and Pro-Chancellor of Achievers University, Hon. Dr. Bode Ayorinde, has been honored with the Educational Excellence Award by the management of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko (AAUA). This prestigious recognition came as part of activities marking the 25th anniversary of AAUA, held at the iconic Obasanjo Multipurpose Hall within the institution.
The event featured a public lecture delivered by Dr. Kayode Ajulo, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ondo State, with distinguished guests, faculty, and students in attendance.
Presenting the award, the Vice-Chancellor of AAUA, Prof. Olugbenga Ige, commended Dr. Ayorinde for his immense contributions to education, particularly in Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
“For a man to establish a university, nurture it, and sustain it to greatness is no small feat,” Prof. Ige remarked. “It is not a tea party, and this award serves as a testament to his vision, determination, and enduring commitment to advancing education.”
Hon. Dr. Bode Ayorinde, in his response, expressed deep gratitude to the management of AAUA for the honor, dedicating the award to the students of Achievers University.
He said:
“Since 2016, I have not received any award. But when my classmate, your Registrar, Mr. Gbenga Arajulu, brought the letter to me, I told him I would accept. I want to appreciate the Vice-Chancellor and the entire management team for counting me worthy of this great honor.”
