The Management of Achievers University, Owo, has alerted prospective students, parents and members of the public to the activities of fraudulent individuals and unauthorised online platforms impersonating the University and its officials in the ongoing 2026/2027 admission.
The warning follows the proliferation of fraudulent online advertisements and messages purporting to offer admission and other services on behalf of the University.
Some of the fraudulent advertisements claim to facilitate undergraduate and postgraduate admission, screening, Direct Entry, transfer, JUPEB/IJMB, admission-list verification and clearance, while directing unsuspecting applicants to private telephone numbers or personal bank accounts.
Achievers University has no affiliation with these individuals or unauthorised platforms and strongly advises members of the public against transacting with them.
The University particularly cautions applicants and parents against making admission-related payments into personal bank accounts or paying individuals who claim they can guarantee admission.
Admission into Achievers University is conducted through approved institutional procedures and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements. No individual can guarantee admission in exchange for payment.
Prospective students and parents are therefore advised to verify every admission-related advertisement, offer, payment instruction or communication bearing the name of Achievers University before taking action.

Management reiterates its commitment to protecting prospective students, parents and other stakeholders from admission fraud, impersonation and related cyber-enabled schemes.
