We are proud to announce the promotion of Dr. Olutosin Samuel Ilesanmi to Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Achievers University!
A distinguished academic from Iroko-Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, Dr. Ilesanmi has made remarkable contributions to the field of Protein Chemistry and Enzymology. With a career spanning over a decade, he has published over 30 scholarly articles in high-impact journals, many of which are indexed in Scopus, showcasing the global relevance of his research.
Dr. Ilesanmi has successfully supervised four M.Sc. dissertations and one Ph.D. thesis, with the results of these groundbreaking findings published by reputable publishers such as Elsevier and Springer.
His academic journey began with a B.Tech. in Biochemistry from LAUTECH, followed by a Master’s degree (2014) and Ph.D. in Biochemistry (2018) from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. In 2015, he expanded his research horizons by collaborating with the Institute of Biophysical Chemistry, University of Vienna, Austria, further cementing his international research footprint.
Since joining Achievers University in 2018, Dr. Ilesanmi has exemplified leadership as the Head of the Department of Chemical Sciences and currently serves as the Sub-Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, mentoring students and colleagues alike.
