His prolific academic contributions include over 50 peer-reviewed publications, many published in high-impact journals indexed in SCI, SCOPUS, and Web of Science, such as the Science of the Total Environment (Q1), Human and Ecological Risk Assessment: an International Journal (Q2), Journal of Health and Pollution (Q2), and Environmental Earth Sciences (Q2). His research focuses on critical global challenges like heavy metal contamination, ecological and human health risks, and groundwater pollution, making a tangible impact on communities worldwide. 🌍📚

Dr. Popoola’s academic journey reflects a commitment to excellence, beginning with his B.Tech. in Applied Geology (2009) from LAUTECH, followed by a Master’s (2015) and a Ph.D. in Geology (2021) from Olabisi Onabanjo University. His groundbreaking research has earned recognition on international platforms, including the Society for Environmental Geochemistry and Health (SEGH) and the International Medical Geology Association (IMGA).

In addition to his research, Dr. Popoola is celebrated for his outstanding leadership and service. He has received prestigious awards such as the State Key Laboratory of Environmental Geochemistry (SKLEG) Research Grant, the Jigawa State Governor’s Award (2011), and was named Best Head of Department at Achievers University (2021/2022). 🎖️
