Fresh and returning students of the department of Mass Communication on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 attended a one-day orientation programme organized by staff of the department.
A short lecture titled “making the best out of your stay here” was delivered by Dr. R. O. Abimbola. He admonished them to be focused on their studies, adding that their future lies in whatever they are able to achieve here on campus.
Earlier, the Coordinator, Dr. O. H. Adebumiti, informed them that the department was established in 2015 and at present has two options (broadcasting and public relations & advertising). He urged them to be open-minded and be ready to learn, adding that there are qualified hands in the department who are willing to teach them.
There were goodwill messages from the Dean, COSMAS, Prof. A. A. Akinwunmi and lecturers in the department of mass communication (Mr O. J. Kalejaiye; Mr. M. Adejoh: and Mr O. A. Oladimeji).
Also, in attendance were Mr. R. P. Akinwunmi and Mr Omohorhije, who are Technologists in the department.
