As a forward-thinking institution committed to shaping the future of young minds, Achievers University warmly welcomed 75 enthusiastic Senior Secondary School (SSS) 1 and 2 science students from The Leadership Academy, Owo, who embarked on an educational excursion to the University on Tuesday, 27th May 2025. This visit marks yet another significant stride in Achievers University’s dedication to community engagement, early career inspiration, and educational mentorship. The students were accompanied by the school’s Principal, Dr. Imaekop Akpan; Vice-Principal, Mr. Tosin Ijalana and two other members of staff.
The students were taken on an engaging tour of the university’s state-of-the-art laboratories in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, the College of Engineering, and the Faculty of Nursing, where they encountered the institution’s significant and strategic investment in modern educational infrastructure designed to provide top-tier teaching and learning experiences.
During the visit, the students interacted with the Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, Professor Lawal Adetula; the Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, Professor Onawumi and key academic staff who did not only welcome them warmly but also inspired them with remarks on the importance of academic excellence and moral uprightness. These engagements clearly reflected Achievers University’s holistic approach to education, raising not just intellectually sound graduates but morally upright individuals.
In addition to showcasing the physical infrastructure, the Admission Officer, Dr Alaba Ajekigbe shared with the students the unique opportunities available for those seeking to further their education at the University. These include the scholarship initiative aimed at providing affordable education, the institution’s uninterrupted academic calendar, and its corps of award-winning, research-driven faculty committed to nurturing students to become solution providers in the real world.
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the school, the Principal of The Leadership Academy, Dr. Akpan, described the excursion as an eye-opening experience with significant academic value. He praised the University’s proprietors for their substantial and impressive investments in infrastructure and commended the high quality of its human resources, noting that the staff members they engaged with demonstrated exceptional expertise in their respective fields. He also lauded the University’s management for the warm hospitality and the well-coordinated reception.
