INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF REGISTRAR

As a result of impending completion of the tenure of the Registrar and the need to reposition the University for the sustenance of its remarkable achievements, we are seeking an exceptionally qualified individual with integrity and demonstrable leadership qualities to fill the position of Registrar of the University.

 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University and is, by virtue of that office, the Secretary to the Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.  Candidate must possess at least a University degree, have 15 years’ post-graduate experience and must have spent 10 years within university administrative community.

He/she must be proficient in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) and be committed to its deployment in the University’s programmes and services. He or she must be of excellent physical and mental health so as to be able to perform all the duties assigned to him or her by the extant laws of the University.

The Registrar shall hold office for a one non-renewable term of five years. Terms and conditions of service shall be embodied in a contract under the seal of the University.

SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Salary, allowances and other benefits, including contributory pension scheme, are as approved by the Governing Council of Achievers University, and are favourably comparable with what are obtainable in other public and private universities.
