The line up of activities is as follows: Friday 8th Nov 2019: The Convocation Lecture will be delivered by His Lordship, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, Bishop of the Sokoto Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Nigeria at the Trinity Hall by 11:00AM.
The Lecture is titled: Some reasons for Nigeria’s low achievements Convocation eve Variety night will follow on the same day, Friday, 8th November commencing by 7:00 PM. The Combined 8th & 9th Convocation Ceremony will start at 10:00 AM on Saturday, 9th November 2019 with the investiture of the Second Chancellor of the University, The Rt Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Former Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Nigeria. This will be followed by the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees on the following distinguished personalities viz: His Excellency. Rt Hon Waziri Aminu Tambuwal, the Governor of Sokoto State, Bishop Mathew Hassan Kukah, and Mrs. Sola T Momoh, the Vice Chairman of Channels Television The Convocation Ceremony will proceed on to admission to Postgraduate and First degrees of the University, respectively and the award of prices to excelling graduating students.
