FEES FOR HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION:

4-man room – N400,000 per bed space
6-man room – N300,000 per bed space
Clinical Students (2-man room) – N750,000 per bed space

Notes

(1) Tuition fees shall be paid following the payment procedure hereunder

 

(2) a. Acceptance fee (Fresh students only) – N50,000

b. Matriculation Fee – N10,000
c. Identification Card – N7,500
d. Lab Coat – N10,000

 

(3) MBBS Inter-University transfer fee for MBBS – N2.5m

 

(4) MBBS Direct Entry Development Levy – N1m

 

(5) By a special approval of the Vice-Chancellor, in writing, a student may be permitted to live off campus. Such students shall pay N75,000 Environmental Benefits Fee.

 

(6) Sundry Fees of N300,000 covers Registration for first and second semesters, Sports, ICT, NHIS, Hostel membership fee, Development levy, Achievers University Students’ Association (AUSA) and Departmental fees.

Note: Sundry fees do not cover feeding, indexing, matriculation, medical tests and professional examinations fees.

 

(7) Clinical, Field Trip, Studio/ Practical, French Immersion Programme, Dinner/Law School Mobilizaton, SWEPS/Technical Aids etc. – See “Schedule of Fees for New and Returning Students”

 

(8) Fees Payment Options:

Option A: Full payment of all fees, before t31st October 2026 attracts 5%
discount (on tuition fees only) for non-scholarship programmes.

Option B: Payment of 50% of total payable fees before 31st October 2026 and the balance of 50% not later than 31st January, 2027 attracts no discount.

Option C: Payment of 40% total fees payable before 31st October, 2026; 30% not later than 31st January, 2027 and the balance of 30% not later than 31st May, 2027. Option C attracts 5% premium on the total fees payable .

 

Each student MUST choose one of the Options at the commencement of the Session and must abide strictly by his/her option.

All fees must be paid into university designated accounts only.

The University shall not be held accountable for fees paid into private account of any staff or students. 

Under no circumstances shall students pay their fees through any individual, as any fee paid into any private account is done at the student’s peril.

The University has no agent for the collection of school fees

 

(9) Late registration or default in payment as and when due attracts N50,000 penalty per Semester or per expected time of payment.

 

(10) Failure to register: Any student who fails to register at the end of registration period shall lose
his/her studentship for the academic session. Such student is automatically classified as being on suspension of studies. He/She is expected to apply for continuation of his/her study/programme not later than 12 months thereafter, after which, if he/she fails to do so, he/she would be classified as having voluntarily withdrawn.

 

(11) Normal Registration ends 31st October 2026, followed by late registration period with a penalty as approved by Council.

 

(12) MBBS students are also to abide by October, February and May dates of payment depending on each student’s option of payment (A, B or C).

(1) The University Payment Portal is being developed. As soon as Council has approved the Portal for use, both fresh and returning students will be duly informed

ACCOMMODATION POLICY FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

(1) The University policy is to run a fully residential system, where all students are accommodated in the University-managed Halls of Residence.

(2) Any student who has any special reason to make private arrangement for his or her accommodation, therefore, must submit an application to the Vice-Chancellor, through the Dean of Student Affairs, stating the reason. Such student must receive a written approval from the Vice-Chancellor.

Note: Students who are granted permission to stay off campus will pay Environmental Benefits Fee of N100,000.  Hostel Allocation is now online.

 

Payment of appropriate fees is a condition for hostel registration.

(1) Accommodation Fee per bed space

(i) 2-bedspace room (FMC Clinical Hostels) – N750,000

(ii) 4-bedspace room – N400,000

(iii) 6-bespace room – N300,000

(iv) Allocation of bed space is on first-come-first-served basis

(v) Allocation of bed space will be on payment of tuition fee based on the chosen payment option.

(vi) On meeting the conditions above, prospective students will submit the attached application form to the Acting Dean of Students Affairs for hall and bed space allocation. (vii) Thereafter, a copy of the hostel booking receipt should be submitted to names and phone numbers of persons listed in 3 (iv) under payment procedure.
