The Chancellery is headed by the Vice Chancellor. Other positions in the Chancellery are:

i.                     Principal Assistant Registrar, whose schedule of duty includes:

a.       Secretary to Board of Trustees

b.       Maintenance of contacts with members of Board

c.       Processing of files of staff employed for confirmation of appointment

d.       Maintenance of contacts with donors and benefactors

e.       Opening up new contacts

f.        Liaison with Chancellor

g.       Maintenance of Register of donors/grants

h.       Maintenance of Register of Proprietors of the University

i.         Accountable to the Registrar of the University

j.         Responsible to the Vice Chancellor

k.       Carrying out all other duties as may be assigned by the Registrar or the Chancellor

 

ii.                   Senior Assistant Registrar (Media)/ Public Relation Officer, whose schedule of duty includes:

a.       Organisation and publicity of University activities

b.       Coordination of media activities

c.       Writing and dispatch of press releases

d.       Protocol services

e.       Publication of University’s Newsletters

f.        Administration of Community relations activities

g.       Administration of media campaigns

h.       Daily review of relevant media reports

i.         Preparation of advert copies and materials

j.         Any other duty assigned by the Pro-Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar 

 

iii.                  Senior Academic Planning Officer, whose duty includes:

a.       Periodic up-dating and analysis of data from Colleges and Departments for internal evaluation of the performance status of the University on all NUC-approved funding parameters and guidelines

b.       Ensuring that the University complies with and maintains standard, through passing necessary information such as Academic Staff Workload to Departments/ Colleges and the University as large on NUC Minimum Academic Standard.

c.       Full participation in University Curriculum Development Committee

d.       Coordinating the preparation of NUC University Annual Review document and preparation of the University-wide Programme Audit.
